Life's
too short to not try to have fun
at everything you
do.
|
I'm serious about having fun --you can't expect
to learn much or learn well if you aren't having some fun along with all the
hard work.

"To be playful and serious at the same time is
possible,
in fact it defines the ideal mental condition."
John Dewey |
Having fun at learning goes hand in hand having
a positive mental outlook. Granted, that's not always easy with our hectic
and stressful lives --or when we're facing a big exam-- but it's a worthwhile
goal. It's worthwhile because it not only makes us mentally, spiritually,
and physically healthy
. . . it helps us study effectively, too!
So take some time to have have some fun between
study sessions.
Here are some ideas:
Take a leisurely stroll around Lake
Patton on the SCC campus.
Perhaps stop at the Schnare Memorial bench and watch the ripples on the water.
Or try some of these other options:
Personal Development - Health & Well-Being
Special Interest
Personal Development - Home & Hobby
Recreation
Do some traveling
during spring or summer break.
Go to the circus.
Catch a movie.
Netflix lets you rent, watch and return DVDs from home
Roll in the hay with your significant other.
Read a book (NOT a science book)
Root for the Cougars
at a sports event.
Play with your son or daughter
or baby or dog or cat (or someone else's)
Go fishing
Join a student
club
Go on a picnic
Get the idea? . . . the list is ENDLESS!
